I've been searching and experimenting but I can't find the answer to this
problem.
I need to create an ordered this something like this:

1. XXXXXXXXXX
    * xxxxxxxxx
    * xxxxxxxxxx
2a. XXXXXXXXXXXX
     * xxxxxxxxxx
2b. XXXXXXXXXXXX
    * xxxxxxxxxx
    * xxxxxxxxxx
3. XXXXXXXXXXXXX

Creating the nested lists is no problem.
But how do I create the "2a" & "2b" list items?
Is there a way with CSS to accomplish this, or is it just improper form and
thus not possible?
I can switch from numeric to "list-style-type:lower-alpha" by using classes
on the <li> but I can't seem to combine them.
Anyone got a solution?

TIA!!!1a ;)
