if i knew how to do that, i would

the only options i see are "Local Area Connection" and "Make New Connection"

my ISP is my cable company and the internet comes in on a LAN Modem

i'm not sure connecting to them through a different connection is going to solve
my problem

are there dip switches on the modem that i have to change or something?

if i call their help line, will they change their DNS servers just for me?
