I understand what you mean though. I've delved into many things blindly
and spent hours undoing my delving.

Maybe you should turn off your modem and turn it back on (re-boot) and
see if that helps. That seems to help *most* of my cable modem woes.

If that doesn't help, I would call the provider and let them know you
are experiencing slowness. They could then see if there is something
they can do on their end. Many times they are unaware of the problem.
