Most likely a missing tag or bracket. IE is a very forgiving browser and
will try to figure out what you meant and display that. 

Run your site through the W3C validator http://validator.w3.org/ and see
what is wrong with the code.

FWIW, when you have a display issue it is best if you post a link to the
page otherwise we are guessing in the dark when a simple look at the code
could provide the correct solution immediately.
