Gotcha...
With that in mind, I made a change to my 'current position'...

=================

Web consultant
Many pages were poorly optimized when I started, they had several errors,
and lacked any time saving functionality (having all repeatable content as
includes etc)
I spent my first few weeks, updating, cleaning and optimizing the pages.
Enhanced the SEO to ensure a better placement.
An uphill struggle all in all, but the results ensured that more of my day
was free to work on other projects.
Our users on the site were not being tracked in anyway, and there was no
way to see what trends and common themes there were from our users.
Taking that on board, I designed, and coded a download tracking system.
Our admin users worldwide, can now upload their own files to the server,
construct pages, based on our corporate template, and secure those
files/pages.
In the secure area of the site, the same admin users can see who has
downloaded what, and when. Many search options exist, and it's a
constantly evolving system, based on new user feedback received almost
daily.
The result of all the above, means that we were able to contact potential
customers, and focus our efforts, based on their interests.
The system interacts closely with salesforce.com, and as a result, we have
increased our sales teams? ability to reach new contacts, and make sales.
Our events registrations also talk to this same system now, meaning that
practically any user, who interacts with our site, has their own stats,
and our admin users can target them quickly and efficiently.
Other duties include:
Monthly stats reports, that we place on a web facing server, so once
again, all out worldwide offices can take advantage of.
Online surveys. Due to the varying nature of what's needed in surveys, I
build them ad-hoc, and this in turn enables a high level of specific user
data, that is invaluable for our sales team and marketers too.
Mailing list software. I maintain and administer a mass mailing tool,
which enables our admin users, to stay in constant contact with clients,
prospects etc, while sticking close to strict European and worldwide
mailing laws.

All this naturally is ongoing with focus on cross browser functionality,
and continually reading and learning about new technologies, which we can
utilize to ensure more sales, and customer satisfaction.

==================

I just feel it's too long and boring...
I certianly got bored reading it....

But I don't jsut wanna use bullet points...
Hmmm, this is such a pain!

Re: [wdvltalk] [OT] CV help?

I'm in a similar position, so I've been studying up on it . . .

You want to convince a potential employer that you will Make Money by
Solving Problems. When you list your accomplishments, put them in terms
of solutions and Profit. What problem did you work fix? What was
improved by it (quantitively is very good)? How did your work better the
bottom line?

Good luck,
