I'm planning to purchase Dreamweaver. If some body knows, kindly let me know:
[1] Since I'll be using it mostly for php coding, can I purchase only that part [the hand coding part] without the web designing features?
[2] Does it have built-in FTP like HTML-Kit (I'm currently using HTML-Kit)?

If you're looking for something to help you with PHP coding and don't need WYSIWYG features for web design, then I recommend looking into Zend Studio http://www.zend.com/store/products/zend-studio/
You mentioned Linux in another post. I run Zend Studio on my Linux box. It's available for Windows too. I have Apache and MySQL running, code in Zend then use my browser to display the pages. Zend is great for serious PHP coding and organizing multiple files into project. For hand coding both PHP and HTML it helps out with code-completion. It's got FTP features builtin but I don't use that myself. You can try it for free for 30 days and then either buy it or continue to use it with reduced features.
