I had the same problem with my dropdown menu on my pages. The spacing in IE messed up. So I deleted the dropdown parts. I think it might be fixable if you use separate .css styles for IE and other browsers, or, you could just set it up for IE and see how the other browsers fare.
This is a common problem, many of us have to live with.


I would think that if I specified a particular line spacing in my .css it should work in all browsers, but since I deleted the dropdown parts, I didn't need to have multiple .css documents.

Perhaps some other list members can help with the line spacing part, and help you more than the above.
