You can do what you want as long as you are very careful with your FTPing. Depending on the site structure you may want to consider FP subwebs, I'd also suggest having the client update to 2003 to get better compatibility.

Thanks for the lead on contentseed. I am going to check that out--perhaps that is a better solution than creating a Frankenstein site!

As this site uses password protection on some pages, a javascript navigation system from a utility that I bought rather than created from scratch and the FP forms, I just afraid there are too many gotchas waiting for me!

As I only need to have the client maintain a few pages I was hoping I could recreate those in DW and replace the existing FP pages without upsetting anything. Does that sound reasonable or am I opening up Pandora's box here?
