Could you please expand on *very careful with your FTPing*? Is there something to watch in the FTP process itself? Or do you mean which pages you FTP? Or maybe something else entirely?

You can do what you want as long as you are very careful with your FTPing. Depending on the site structure you may want to consider FP subwebs, I'd also suggest having the client update to 2003 to get better compatibility.
