I have a new project I need a quote for. I am starting a political commentary blog/site with a couple of guys in my area and have a design all ready to go. The only problem is I have been swamped with work and my programming skills are lacking. Combine that all together and you have a very frustrated me. This blog will grow to be quite large. I currently have three contributors, but that number should grow once the site gets rolling. After I crunched the numbers, I�m predicting we will have 20 contributors and 15,000 hits/month in a year�s time. I am using Movable Type for the site. It is essential that you be very familiar with it. The site needs to be CSS/XHTML compliant. No tables. There are three sections: Monthly Articles - on the first of the month we will publish articles on a particular topic, like a magazine Daily Commentary - commentary on anything that strikes our fancy at anytime The Neighborhood - interesting links (like all the other blogs do) Your job would purely be on the development end (although if you have any ideas for the design, I'm open to hear them). You would need to develop: * individual entry page for the commentary and the article sections (they would be formatted the same) * one archive page that lists old commentary and article entries (both sections would appear together on the same page) * Search results page * Homepage I want to use sIFR for certain H tags. You will need to install certain Movable Type plugins as well. You will also need to develop a printer friendly stylesheet. While you will have all the support you need from me, this will be a turnkey design: you will program the pages, install them and get everything working right. This is a rough overview.
