I have looked a little further into the most interesting point made by Bj.
In fact, because of the way I intend to use the information and that only my
goods/services are involved I am exempt from registering, though not from
complying with the Act.

This is a UK Act though I am sure there are similar provisions in the US and
other countries.   It is worth studying these and noting the (rather
strange) special provision for advertising, marketing and PR.   It is clear
that wherever a third party is involved - employee or agent - there must be
registration.
