FYI, macally makes a two button with scrollbar bluetooth mouse. That's what
I use with my PowerBook.

I agree that an external mouse makes a lot of sense with a laptop but
sometimes when I'm only going to be using it to check mail when I'm out of
the office (Starbucks perhaps) I don't want carry an extra mouse nor do I
want to be limited sitting someplace where I can use one.

Recovering from a long period of flakey systems is always good. FWIW, I've
had more hardware trouble with my G4 Tower than with the Windows towers
here. The G4 Tower problem was finally solved when Apple replaced the system
board (motherboard) since then the computer has behaved much, much better.

I'm not very comfortable with laptop touch pads - too heavy of a touch,
perhaps. Anyway, when i ordered my Powerebook, II also bought an apple
Bluetooth mouse. Quite a shock to discover that it's one
button! Turns out that if you hold down for just a bit too long,
it becomes a right click.

When I first tried the machine, I thought that the mouse was two- button
with an integral case, so I went to the apple website to see. Apple told
me that the mouse was one-button so that it would be less complicated, and
easier to use.!!!

3-letter words are less complicated than most larger ones, but i don't think
limiting my writing to 3-letter words makes things any easier.

I'm trading in my apple mouse for a 2 button wheel mouse.

I sill like the G4 a lot. Maybe it's just that I'm finally recovering from
a long period of flakey hardware, returned replacements, endless
re-installs, etc.
