I like the direction you're going. Here are my quick & dirty comments regarding appearance and navigability. - I'd move the "HOME" link to the menu bar with the other links. - I'd also choose a different color to indicate the selected link. Not pink; perhaps the green you are already using as an accent color. - I'd also suggest tying the site together by completing the gray rectangle that is implied by the content areas. IOW, a single gray rectangle containing all the existing gray rectangles. - I'd also suggest you think about a different color for the page background, though the black does not look bad at all. I think black backgrounds have gone out of style, so to speak, for commercial sites. This is not a visual issue, but rather a market credibility issue. - In the animated graphic on the home page, I'd loose the scowling man. First off, he's scowling; secondly, he really does look like stock art. I think web users are no longer impressed by stock images of models pretending to be office workers, etc. As I said at the start, though, I do like the direction you're going.
