Hi Tom,
Thanks for the e-mail. I searched the whole site and could not find a
.htaccess file.
Anything else I can try?

Riva,
I think Sheila may be on the right track. However, the place to look
for the .htaccess file would be inside the 'images' directory rather
than the 'root' directory for this type of problem. Some hosts allow
a .htaccess file for each folder/directory that is to be managed (such
as password protected directories, etc.)
Look inside your 'images' directory, and if there is a .htaccess file,
then BACK IT UP first and then delete it.
You will then need to create a blank 'index.html' file and upload it
into the 'images' directory. That will stop snoopy surfers from being
able to simply 'browse' the directory. It appears to me that this is
currently controlled at the server level because I get an error
message mentioning a missing 'index.htm' file. That lead to my
suspicion that there may be a .htaccess file managing the folder.
If no problems result from deleting the file, you may want to search
for a script to block image scrapers if that is a concern. There are
many free ones available - including those written in Perl and php.
If deleting the .htaccess file from inside the 'images' directory does
create a problem (it shouldn't), you can always restore it with the
backup.
HTH,
Tom
