I do too. Interestingly enough when asked to give 5 sites they like I usually end up with 5 sites that at first glance don't seem to have much in common. Though usually a closer look reveals something they have in common like a type of menu or basic layout. One client picked 5 sites and the only thing they had in common was right side box with navigation or additional content and primary navigation in the masthead section. Colors, branding mechanism, etc. were all different but she loved large main left section and small right side section. Sort of the opposite of what most people tend to pick.

Then I might use some general ideas from it, but customize it to my client's needs. It's never a copy, just a place to start especially if there is something about the site they like in particular that can be adapted for use on the one I'm developing. Kind of like grabbing bits and pieces here and there to make a whole. ____ The WDVL Discussion List from WDVL.COM ____ To Join wdvltalk, Send An Email To: mailto:[EMAIL PROTECTED] or use the web interface http://e-newsletters.internet.com/discussionlists.html/ Send Your Posts To: [email protected] To change subscription settings, add a password or view the web interface: http://intm-dl.sparklist.com/read/?forum=wdvltalk ________________ http://www.wdvl.com _______________________ You are currently subscribed to wdvltalk as: [email protected] To unsubscribe send a blank email to [EMAIL PROTECTED] To unsubscribe via postal mail, please contact us at: Jupitermedia Corp.
