The Gods work pretty hard when they 'wish to destroy'... ;-)

It makes no sense. I went back to sort this out as I remembered more. Now I get the form to come up in individual blogs with <--subscribe2--> in the html.

But no variation of calling the file into the sidebar works. That's php (thanks Perry), ssi and <a>. I've tried all the variations I can think of. On php it's 'warning' can't find file, on the other two it's nothing (though text prints fine). All the other script in the template works [though I have lost for the moment how to bring a list of entries up!!] so I think it's time to accept the gremlins are in charge on this and move on...

<?php include("../../plugins/subscribe2/subscribe2.php"); ?>

The above should get it for you.
You have to come up out of your current directory, then down into
the directory that has your include file.

folders:
wp-content>themes>default>sidebar.php
wp-content>plugins>subscribe2>subscribe2.php

In sidebar.php I am trying to call subscribe2.php to insert a form for
email addresses.

I have tried <!--#include
file="/wp-content/plugins/subscribe2/subscribe2.php"-->

and many variations like "subscribe2.php"
                                    "/subscribe2.php"
                                    ".../subscribe2.php"

So what should I be doing?

TIA

Joseph Harris
