No time this afternoon to check for sure, but a quick glance shows
your
footer inside the other full page divs, no reason it can't go outside
that instead and just flow it separately:
</div> <!-- main closing tag -->
<div id="footer"></div>
</div> <!-- page closing tag -->
or:
</div> <!-- main closing tag -->
</div> <!-- page closing tag -->
<div id="footer"></div>
one of those above I think, with the same css you already have may
do the trick.
