Yes I am. After sending my email tot he group I
shut down the machine entirely (it's usually on
24/7) and that seems to have cured things.
However, my son is IT manager for a company in
the City of London and I checked with him when I
was "live" again and he said they've had
interconnect problems today and so have a couple
of other people he spoke to, so it may be something outside our control.
Incidentally - did anyone see the report in
yesterday's Sunday Times (London) that the Police
have uncovered an Al-Qaida plot to try and
infiltrate Telehouse and blow it up? Seems the
security sources have thwarted it - but it's
scary to think what might happen if the
terrorists had been successful! We'd be lost for
days - that of course being the idea. If you want
to read it it will be in their online edition -
needs a registration I think but that's free.
I use the old-fashioned printed version - much
better excuse for lazing around with much coffee on Sunday mornings!!
