Hi Mike,

Try stepping through your startup files and just load himem.sys. That will
give you the memory needed to run scan.exe. In fact, when booting from a
floppy to scan, that's the only way I get in. The NYB virus atttacks the
N,Y and B keys (hence the name) and can be a weasel to find.

Should the McAfee not take it out, try this:
Boot vanilla DOS (no drivers at all) from floppy (if accessible)
The floppy should contain the DOS prgram FDISK
Run FDISK /MBR several times in succession (I've found 7x works best)

Remove floppy and reboot. The virus should be gone.
