The background looks ok but what is "funny" is that because you have made
your background tile only 4x4 pixels, my system spends a lot of time
redrawing it. Every time I scroll it redraws at least part of the new
background. It is a very visible (and slow) process.
I suggest that you make your tile a lot bigger. Say 1300x10 or at least
100x100. Your background is the same style as Allaire
(http://www.allaire.com) and theirs is ok on my system at 32x16. It will
still compress to nothing.
