Not necessarily true.  Our server is an Apache and we don't have
the FP extensions, yet FP works well.  FP generates a number of
excess directories and other crap (for lack of a better word).
They generate six directories beginning with _vti which are not
need to execute.  In each sum directory they generate a _vti_cnf
which you also don't need to run.

When you FTP to your site all you need are the html programs in
the directory, the images sub directory (without the _vti_cnf and
assuming you store your images there) and the _private directory
which contains you CSS stuff, i.e., colors, navigation bar, header, logo, etc.
Also, if you have any CGI scripts they need to be ftp'd to the
cgi-bin or cgi-local area at you site.  

Without all that other crap, the site is very manageable in size.

The problem with the font is you probably used the "default"
which means the default will be used on any machine.  You can
change the default to a particular font, i.e., Times Roman, Arial, etc.
