Actually I thought the article was very well written as an -overview- of
the differences. If you want an in-depth look at costs, that would take
much more research, especially on the amount of time needed for
administration. 

Each server has its own setup and own quirks to deal with. How could one
possibly nail down the amount of time it takes without having a general
overview or estimate? If you want that, simply ask a few other sysadmins
how much time they spend performing their duties of system administration.

In other words, the cost issue is a review by itself.
