David, trust a 'canny' Scot to figure this one out! :>) Thanks, you're
exactly right, that solved my problem.

Yeah, but I've just been using the "Force tags to lower case" command for now.

No doubt. But as Kathy G. pointed out, it seems to be taking the strict
approach of, for example, insisting that <FONT> tags be nested inside <P>
tags, etc., and that seems rather 'hard core' to me.
As I've only been using BBEdit for 2 weeks now, so far all the html files
I've opened in it were originally created in other editors. Upcoming work
will be created from scratch in BBEdit and I'll start using the Syntax
checker immediately to get used to it.
