Boeing has a lot of X-Windows programs -- and a mix of PCs, Macs, HP-UX
work stations, and mainframes.
So -- to get mail from my 'unix account' -- I launch a program called
"exceed" which turns my Win95 machine into an "X-windows" environment. I
then launch Netscape 3.0 for UNIX and get my mail.
Exceed is pretty resource (RAM) intensive on the PC -- but is
transparent to the UNIX box on the other end.
Does that help???
