Hi Matthew

Yes, thanks I found it... as this is just a "play" session at the moment
I'll stick to free stuff. The product looks very good though.

I'm only starting on all this "X" stuff so the bloody obvious may have to
hit me between the eyes before I see it. :)

I searched on xserver and in amongst the "X" rated sites I found a few
links to a free xserver for Mac and Windows95/NT. They use it for their
geospatial data analysis software and give this part away free. They also
have a free lite version of their product... whatever that does, but it
sounds interesting.

        MicroImages
        http://tnt.microimages.com/

Look in the free stuff for MI/X "a professional, Free X server for Windows
and Macintosh"

I've set it up for WinNT and it seems to work ok. I've been accessing a
remote Unix system via a modem which can be a bit tedious especially when I
launched Netscape 3 for Unix on the remote system.

Kathy... do you use a three button mouse to do this stuff from a PC?

I will try out on my local Solaris system tomorrow maybe. This is fun. :)

thanks
Bruce
