This ties in with the thread where we've been trying to convince Ronnie to write a book. If any of you on the list don't get the developer.com journal, you may not know about Earthweb seeking authors: >12. We need book authors ... >... especially client/server programming authors. We are currently seeking >experienced authors and client/server programming developers who have a >familiarity with distributed objects, CORBA and COM-DCOM. If you are >interested in writing for us, please contact us at the e-mail address below. > >If you have additional book ideas for EarthWeb Press, wed love to hear >from you. Our editors will promptly review your proposal and respond if we >are interested. If youd like to write a book for us, you should request a >copy of our author guidelines to assist you in preparing your proposal. > >To participate in our book, submit a book proposal or request our author >guidelines, send e-mail to: [EMAIL PROTECTED] I already sent off for their guidelines. Very straight forward -- they want to know a bit about why the book should be written, how teh book will fill the need, what the competition is, and who you are. The only tough part is a draft outline of what all the book would have in it. I think most of you could handle that, though, considering how long and detailed some of the emails are on this list. Now, I expect to see a rash of books come out of this group ASAP! --Tamra Heathershaw-Hart (who has been spending far too much of her free time reading misc.writing!) ____________________________________________________________________ -------------------------------------------------------------------- Join The Web Consultants Association : Register on our web site Now Web Consultants Web Site : http://just4u.com/webconsultants If you lose the instructions All subscription/unsubscribing can be done directly from our website for all our lists. ---------------------------------------------------------------------
