I think it looks nice...but then again, I have a thing for purple. I'm
running 640x480 on a 15" monitor, win98, checked it in NS 3.0. Rollovers
all worked nicely. The connection was a little slow on our DSL -- I ran a
traceroute and it took 12 hops, going from here near San Jose to Chicago,
to Denver, to Oakland CA, then finally to where ever the server is, most of
it through BBNPlanet.
There's a broken link to "beth.html" on the characters page -- I think the
character names changed. Also, for one of the links in the bottom frame to
"characters" the link is capitalized ("CharFrame.html" I think) and it
breaks -- this is within the "mind games" section I believe. Also, I wonder
if you really need to reload the entire frameset that often....it's not a
real problem, but after looking through the pages once I started zipping
around trying to find that broken link and the flashing really got
overwhelming at high speeds!
Looks like a fun CD-ROM. We never finished 7th Guest, but really enjoyed
what we played of it. Are they going to have a downloadable demo? I've
noticed more and more game sites doing that these days.
