That *could* have something to do with my frame of mind. I swear,
there's no more beautiful place on the planet than Seattle in the summer
.... even when dog days come in July <g>.

Nope to the ride up from SF to Sea -- it's been 20 years since I rode
and most of my saddle time was as a passenger. I'll just be getting my
license (Safety Course) on the 9th of August. I want the bike HERE when
that day comes! I also will have to lower it somewhat ... so my cadre of
BMW/MC guys that I've met online at at events will be helping out. One
of the guys (a boeing engineer) keeps saying "this is going to be so
much fun" <g> .. he's the designated "ride it to my townhouse" person
when it arrives.

Also, I wouldn't want to do 800 miles solo just yet ....
