A belated, but nevertheless envious, grats!  Been shopping for a Beemer
myself of late (all of my geek friends have them).  Almost latched onto
a 75 R65/5 myself (but didn't need a fixer-upper in my life right now .
. . enough Linux boxes in that category to keep me busy through winter).

Did test drive an R650 "Funduro" last weekend.  Seemed like a nice toy
for shredding city traffic and still capable of handling the sand at the
beach when I got there (without investing $13K in a real bike and living
in constant fear of it being stolen).  :)
