Sounds like you were in my meeting today!
This being California, I was praying for a nice 'quake. Not a big one mind
you, just a 5 pointer. Enough to shut down the power and let us all get the
heck out.
8 hours later, we're still quite confused over the client "tactic" of
insulting the consultant, saying that you did a horrible job, and then
asking you to bid on the next phase of the project. Then, to add even more
insult to injury, they stated that they want only one of the two partners
at the next meeting -- leaving both of us wondering which one of us they
hate more! Argh....
