Sent this two days ago and never saw it make list. Still working on the
problem, so thought I'd repost. Sorry if everyone else got it already.

Subject: Odd Printing problem

Hi gang,

Sorry for the long absence . . . been a busy boy.

Back with a toughie.

We have a secure commerce application written in Server side javascript
(LiveWire). It collects a bunch of info, sticks it in Oracle.

When you get to the end of the process and you're billed, it gives you
the option to print a receipt. This has always worked fine.

Suddenly it's goofy. You click the receipt button, and your receipt page
comes up with all of the right data in all of the right places on the
screen. However, when you print, all of the fields are either blank, or
filled with their default values. If you look at the source, that's
exactly what is there--default values . . .

Now, how in the heck is the screen getting the right data to display when
the HTML code beneath it does not contain the actual values?

(Can't really provide a URL, as you have to get out the credit card and
actually purchase to see the problem.)

Ideas?

Brett
