Yep, as Suz noted yesterday I indeed passed another b'day, having now
attained the mystical age of 42. ("42" of course being the answer to the
meaning of life and all that, as Douglas Adams buffs will know.
Regrettably, I can't report any Saul-like flashes of blinding revelation on
the road to Damascus as a result of reaching this milestone, sigh :)
Anyway, many thanks for all your kind words.
Hmm... Tamra asked if I bought myself any new toys; don't be silly Tamra,
of *course* I did <g>. Finally got around to buying a camcorder, after
years of borrowing them from friends and neighbours as needed. Great
little toy. Also bought a Snappy video capture unit to go with it, which is
fun too. The still image quality it produces is very high indeed, given a
good sharp video signal to start with. The new version, 3.0 Pro or Plus or
whatever it is I bought, also handles AVI movie capture (including audio),
which I haven't had time to try yet. Fun fun fun.
Hmm again... tinkering with my new toys gave me an idea, to do with the
fact that we're an online community that doesn't have much sense of
what one another looks or lives like in the non-cyber world... so what the
heck, I just cooked up a little site I'm calling "Where I Work", to which I
