Just a general note of thanks. I truly appreciate being a part of such
an august group (sorry for the timely pun).
A client called and was moaning that although I had directed him to his
server logs, he couldn't make heads or tails of them. Having just read
a WC post that mentioned Analog, I was able to locate a Mac version and
send him the URL and make a client happy.
And for a follow-up to a prior query: I ended up bailing on the sendmail
or formmail script for the boss' best friend's kid's Senior Thesis
survey hosted on an NT machine, and just coded the whole mess as a
mailto (yes, I'm irked at the service provider who tried to sell me a
custom cgi script ($300!) rather than just pop a sendmail script on the
server and give me a FAQ on its use). The kid gets his results, but has
to do some serious parsing. Hmmm - it might encourage him to actually
DO something to get out of college <g>.
So two problems, two solutions - thanks to the WC list (well, the mailto
workaround was a major wussing out, but THANKS for all the offers of
help I got!).
Having lots of fun seeing listmembers, too! While I don't have pix of
