Well gang, just signed the paper on the new offer and gave notice with
the current clients, so I think I can safely share the news.
Starting July 1 or thereabouts, I'll be packing up the solo shop and joining
the staff at the United Nations Foundation/Better World Society in
Washington, DC. This is the NGO set up to manage the $1 billion
donation Ted Turner made to the UN. Will be working as director of their
Internet and multimedia product development.
And it all started from a free consulting trip . . . never underestimate
the value of those free initial consultations :)
Anyway, that's been unfolding for about two months (hence my absence from
the list), and it all fell together yesterday. Once again, off on
another new adventure . . . . might disappear again for a month while I
get the move made, but I'll be back to my windy, opinionated self in
no time (and actually only working one job, so i might even have time to
post occasionally . . . and finish my personal website! *chuckle* )
Anyway, thought I'd pass the good news along . . . been on this list so damn
long it's starting to feel like a subset of my family . . . almost feel
obligated . . . ;)
