You guys running around in motorcycles, etc. might find this
interesting. I have a problem on the other end of the size scale... You
guys are an eclectic bunch. I am a consultant, maybe a bit daft, and
prone to doing strange projects. This is something like out of the show
"Lovejoy", that antiques dealer on PBS.
I got this client... (Oy, have I got clients!) He has just
acquired a 1960 GMC "New Look" super charged 6 cylinder diesel bus. He
Absolutely Positively has to move tonight to keep it from getting towed
away. (This guy helped me a lot when I was sick a few months ago, so we
are trading favors.) He just bought it, walked the papers through the
Department of Motor Vehicles last week, got the official title to it,
and... a bunch of scheduling things went wrong, including the seller being
unavailable. (We think a motorcycle accident, tough he could have
departed for Argentina, for all I know!)
Does anyone of you broadly experienced folks know how to start a diesel
bus? My friend/client says there is no place to put a key! And... how to
shut it off. We have to move it a few miles to, of all places, an active
military base where it will be guarded by MP's. (Well, along with the
base itself.)
If I can find my camera, I will get pictures and put them up for you
folks to see.
