Suzanne:

Are you using formail.pl to process the form?
It reserves the field names "email" and "realname" to use in the from 
address.  If you're collecting First Name, Last Name separately then 
you wont have a field "realname" so the script puts in an empty ().

You can manually edit the script to get rid of this, if it's _really_ 
bothering you.
