I don't generally "surf" to find "pretty" sites -- in fact, I rarely
"surf." When I'm online, using search etc., I'm generally looking for
info, not "entertainment." Even on the highspeed LAN I often turn
graphics off. I suppose if I were looking for entertainment, I might
have graphics on and let designer wishes override everything always ...

I prefer to have my link colors -- so they are set -- I do not have
"always use my colors" checked [used to but with NC4.01 it's such a pain
to get to preferences that I've succumbed] -- but will go back to that
setting on a site that is hard to read.

Ah -- ok -- now we're moving into branding, positioning, information
dissemination -- a very smart and logical thing for toothpaste (and lots
of other products). I think there is more on this in the 'profit' thread
that Suz started.
