If you live in the Unix/Linux world, "rdist" is one package that can
handle this; it's designed to do exactly what you're trying to do,
and is smart enough to only update the items that have changed.
If the sites you're syncing are *not* behind a firewall, I'd recommend
using ssh with it in order to provide better security; otherwise, you
can use it in its vanilla configuration.
