Interesting article -- links to some J.Nielsen work that I hadn't read
before (old, software based). Validates a design that I'm testing at
Boeing that users like but some mgrs are objecting to.

The columnist moves on to portal sites -- and their emphasis on links -
and states his feeling that they are  cluttered (my word). I think the
difference is context -- that is, Argus site is not a portal -- and its
more detailed link info provides end users with a better shot at getting
to content. 

Also -- Argus differs from, say, CNN, or other "news" sites where links
are "headlines."

Anyway, I think there is a balance to be struck between having
<H1-type-only> TOCs and those with some H2 or H3 info <g>.
