I know where the "relevant" settings are to turn it off. By default it is
turned on. It does not always occur to one to switch it off just to write a
letter then to turn it on. Sometimes you write your letter, and just hit
send. Are you saying you are not ever guilty  of not double checking every
little thing. Mainly why I use it is to verify that it is truly me and that
the message has not been tampered with during transmission.
