Stock market fluctuations aside, prices discussed on the Internet 
Advertising Discussion List from a month or two ago talked about $1 for a 
"conversion" which was a full click-through followed up by a full user 
registration for a contest/drawing thing, down to something in the ranges 
of $0.01 to $0.05 per click (that's $10 per thousand  to $50 per thousand 
clicks, which is pretty good I guess --- if one is hard pressed to find 
revenue sources)...   On the other hand, those tend to be "bargain rates" 
and some web sites get as much as $80.00 per thousand just for "pageviews" 
(aka "banner ad impressions") for the right clientele.

Since a 10% click through rate is considered very good, if you are only 
getting $50 per thousand on click throughs, you have to be drawing 10,000 
page views to make $50.  At that rate, you'd have to have 20,000 pageviews 
(and maintain that VERY high click through rate of 10% for all of them) 
just to make $100 a day.
More realistic (average) click through rates are 1 - 2% and that's still 
barely $100 a day if you have 100,000 pageviews, although you can get that 
with only about 10,000 visits a day.
