heh, heh, heh <G>  Yes, it is worth shouting out this message :>)  But that
doesn't mean everyone will hear you. After all, we are assaulted by
software companies pushing their latest "tools" for "easily" converting
desktop publishing files "direct to HTML" and claiming this is a snap. Just
last week I got an eamil annoucement from Extensis about some new software
to take Quark files and convert them to HTML. They of course made it sound
like child's play. And the latest Adobe Pagemaker claims to do this also.

Web designers know this is nonsense. It is not as simple as these companies
say. I mean how can these companies think they can take layouts designed
for printing in a vertically-oriented viewing format in high res and presto
change-o convert them to a low-res horizontally-oriented format that has to
allow for navigation areas that do not even exist in print? What a joke.

But if you don't understand the issues, it can certainly sound appealingly
easy.
