did anyone watch 20/20 last night?
well, we all know that the left-hand side of the brain operates the
right side of your body and vice versa. this psychiatrist discovered
that covering one eye, forcing you to see only the other eye, triggers
different "world view" on some people. you might feel happy and
optimistic or depressed and pessmistic. he found 40% of the people
do not feel differently, 30% are mildly different and another 30%
has strong difference. some people are happy with left eye and some
with right.
the 2 people (patients) interviewed in the show displayed immediate,
drastic change. putting on right-eye-goggle (left side is covered
with tape), you can see the guy has fidgeting, nervous hands
and he was talking about how depressing his work was. switch to
the left-eye-goggle, his posture was immediately relaxed, his hands
are calm and he was laughing.
so, one patient was prescribed a pair of glasses (looks like a
sun glasses), with left lense extremely dark so that he can see the
world with his happy eye, literally.
