If you consider an 8500 or 9500 "more than adequate" for Web design,
you're gonna bust a gut laughing when you find out I do all my Web design
work (and even a fair bit of 'paper' design work) on a three year old
Quadra 630 (66 MHz '040)! :-D But don't laugh. It's no where near as
sad as it sounds. Yes, I lust for a new G3 just like any
green-yellow-orange-red-violet-blue-blooded Mac user, but I find even the
630 to be far more than adequate for most Web design (and moderately
tolerable for print work). Among other accoutrements, it has 36 MB of
RAM, a 14" monitor, and a 255 MB hard drive (_major_ ball & chain), and
it runs OS8.1 with the greatest of ease. It's all I can afford currently,
and I wouldn't trade it in for anything ('cept a PowerMac).
