Another thought about Eric's Graphic Designer Wanted ad: you should specify
whether you require either the Mac or the PC environment, as either
category will eliminate a lot of applicants.
Also, if I were advertising for this position, I would list the programs
knowledge that I would require of a candidate:
QuarkXpress, PageMaker or CorelDraw (you may want to wait to buy the
program until after you've found your ideal candidate, then buy the program
that candidate knows best)
Adobe Photoshop
Illustrator or Freehand (again, wait to buy the program until after you've
found your ideal candidate)
Graphics optimization programs including ImageReady or Fireworks, DeBabelizer
FrontPage (it wouldn't be my choice, but if you require it, so be it. My
choices would be BBEdit for the Mac or Homesite for the PC, and DreamWeaver
for either program).
