Hi Matt
I don't have ICQ on any of the "intranet" computers. It works ok on the
server computer. I initially had a bit of trouble understanding how the
mapping services worked. I don't claim to understand it fully yet but I can
run IRC, RealAudio/video, FTP, SMTP, POP, SOCKS, Telnet and WWW at least
without any trouble.
There are some others I would like to sort out such as the (almost useless)
conference voice module of NS communicator. It doesn't seem to work
properly from the Mac on my intranet. I also need to sort the ports for
web/java based IRC.
It serves my purposes well though, I dare say, that I should (are you
listening Rich) replace it with a Linux server. ;-)
thanks
Bruce
