I'm going to give the benefit of the doubt here and assume that you did
not intentionally send a 38-kilobyte MS Word binary attachment to the
entire list, as opposed to sending it privately to the person who requested
it. For it goes without saying that the great majority of listservs would
consider that an extremely inappropriate action.
