Brett's referring to the Canadian Armed Forces' Operation Abacus. It's
interesting to note that the military here and the RCMP have both cancelled
*all* staff leave from Dec. 26/99 to Jan 5/00. That made me sit up and take
notice, let me tell you. I'd start buying canned goods sometime next
summer. I predict a steady price increase as the New Year approaches. ;-)
