Interesting post Urb. 

I would argue about the value of a diploma to an employer. I think 
employers look for it because they themselves do not really know what 
they need and they are too lazy to find better methods.

I dropped out of college in my junior year because I really had no 
idea why I was there or where I was going.  I think that most people 
go and finish college because they are afraid or lack imagination to 
do it any other way.

Of course, now at 39 I am seriously thinking of returning to school. 
But now I know what I want, why I am here and where I want to go.
