Hi All,
<rant>
If anyone is hosting at iServer, as I had mentioned before, be sure to test
your scripts. IServer changed all their servers to Apache last night and it
is creating some bugs. Specifically, a bug that I spent an hour on the phone
with an iServer rep this morning discussing has to do with mSQL version 1.1
That technician had to leave for school and he told me that I would get an
email from the person taking over the problem. 3 hours later I had not
received any email. I called and spoke to a guy who didn't know anywhere
near as much as the first guy. He told me he would try to get some help on
this for me and would email me to stay in touch.
I clearly told them that I thought that they created the problem and that I
thought they should take care of it as quickly as possible...but the
attitude I got sounded kinda lazy.
The scripts in question have to do with an online ordering system, so I'm
quite PO'd about this. We have tried various hacks to fix the problem, but
that just changes the error messages we get in the error_log :-P We even
tried restoring to a backup from yesterday, but since they can't revert to
NCSA as the server, it didn't change anything.
If anyone else is having a similar problem at iServer, please let me know.
Personally, I don't have the time to try to undo a problem that my host
created. Especially if they can't figure it out!!!!
